First Day in Romania

The day started with a massive breakfast buffet.  Around every corner was a table of food to sample.  After breakfast Debbie gave the team a brief history lesson then we took a tour of the People's Palace. It's the second largest building in the world in square footage, the Pentagon being first.

Our tour guide, Andrea, was a big hit with our group, especially after she schooled Iulian.  :-). She had a fun personality and engaged with our team to make the tour educational and entertaining.

A quick lunch stop at McDonalds (don't worry, we only do that once) now we are driving through beautiful countryside to Camp of the Good Shepherd in the mountains of Sibiu.  Cell service can be limited at the camp so I'm posting today en route. Everyone is healthy and a little tired from travel but anxious to arrive at our new home away from home.

If I don't post again today it's only because cell reception is poor at camp.  Tonight will be a traditional Romanian meal.
